I would like you to take a clear photo of yourself during class. We'll use PhotoBooth to take the photo. The goal is to get to know you as quickly as possible. We need to see your face clearly, but feel free to be creative.

Name your file by your name, including any name you would like to be used. As an example, I would use Alain "Al" Paradis, because I want you to call me Al. Got it? Good.

I'll show you how to copy the photo to my Drop Box over the network.

Field Trip

We're going to the mall!

For week two, we'll do a field trip to the Rideau Centre. There's a new Apple Store there. They'll be able to give us the fifty cent tour of Apple hardware and software.

Once at the store, we'll be introduced to the various Apple hardware. We'll go even deeper into the hardware components of computers in general.

In-Ear In Class

Please bring a pair of earphones to every class this semester. You'll be using many video tutorials during the semester.

It's best not to use noise-cancelling phones. You still want to hear what's going on in class.

You will also log into ACSIS. ACSIS is the 'Algonquin College Student Information System'. ACSIS is a secure website that requires a valid student number and Password for access. The ACSIS site integrates with the existing College database systems, so students can access information at their convenience.
